Never share Debit Card, Account, or Social Security Numbers if receiving a call, text, or email you were not expecting even if the requester seems official. When in doubt, contact a representative of the organization initiating the contact through a known source such as a number you already have. Phone number and email spoofing is becoming easier and a more prevalent way for hackers to obtain information through intimidation or playing on the trust an individual has for an organization. It is always best to error on the side of caution. Most reputable companies will not contact you asking for sensitive information unexpectedly.
