3s For The Money Check to Marquette
Liberty Bank was on hand at Marquette Catholic High School's final varsity basketball game on February 11, 2012 to present a $750 check to the school for its basketball programs. The check puts a capper on this season's "3s For The Money" promotion, which awarded $10 for each 3-point shot made by boys and girls varsity teams during 2011-2012 home games. Liberty Bank President Dale Blachford and Sam the Eagle made the presentation to MCHS Principal Mike Slaughter and Athletic Director Sara Ulrich. Congratulations to the Marquette basketball programs and continued good luck in post-season action.

Breakfast with Santa and Sam the Eagle
Over 140 Liberty Bank Smart eKids and their guests attended the bank's annual Breakfast with Santa event held on December 17th. The annual event is hosted by Sam the Liberty Bank Eagle and is exclusively for our Smart eKids Club members. The 2011 event was held at Riverbender.com Community Center in downtown Alton and offered up hotcakes, sausage and other breakfast treats along with a personal meeting with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Those attending were also able to use all the Community Center's amenities including arcade alley, pool tables and the movie theatre. 3s For The Money Campaign for Area High Schools
Liberty Bank is proud to announce its 3s For The Money campaign to benefit three area high schools. During the upcoming high school basketball season, the bank has partnered with Alton High School, Civic Memorial High School and Marquette Catholic High School on the promotion. Liberty will award each school $10 for each 3-point shot made by their boys or girls varsity team during home games this season.
"We are very excited about the 3s For The Money campaign and hope it is fun for the teams and their fans." says Bank Vice President Bret Mayberry. "This campaign gives us another opportunity to help our community and assist each high school during some tough economic times."
Each school's progress throughout the season will be tracked on a tote board located in the high school gym. All proceeds from the campaign will be awarded at the conclusion of the basketball season. The funds will be used by each of the participating schools for a worthy cause at their school.
Alton Halloween Parade
Sam the Liberty Bank Eagle presided over the bank's pumpkin patch float in the Alton Halloween Parade. The bank's entry in the 91st annual parade earned a 4th place finish in the commercial float division.
Annual Fall Festival a Success
Approximately 500 attendees had big fun at the bank's annual Fall Festival held Saturday, October 29th. The location for this year's festival was Liberty Bank Plaza in Bethalto. Those attending enjoyed free chili, hot dogs and refreshments, games and a pumpkin decorating area. Sam the Liberty Bank Eagle was on hand throughout the afternoon and led the Halloween costume parade of 100+ children. Congratulations to the costume contest winners Wyatt Thompson and Olivia Monroe. Following the parade the children enjoyed Trick-or-Treating in the Plaza sponsored by Liberty Bank, The MailBox Store, Ge Gee's Cafe and HFS Insurance.
Liberty Bank Awarded Best Bank
The voting from area residents is in and Liberty Bank has been voted Best Bank in the River Bend for 2011. The reader's poll is conducted each year by The Telegraph (Alton), a daily newspaper covering several counties in Central Illinois. Winners are determined by voting of the paper's readers.
Another 5-Star Rating for Liberty Bank
Liberty Bank has again been awarded a 5-Star rating from Bauer Financial, Inc. This rating indicates a Superior rating based on an analysis of the financial condition of the bank and recognizes Liberty Bank as a Bauer Financial Recommended Bank. The latest 5-star rating is based on data from 6/30/11 and is the 8th consecutive quarter Liberty Bank's has received the award.

Liberty Bank "A" Rated
Liberty Bank has been awarded an A rating for financial strength in the most recent report compiled by Kroll Bond Ratings. The Kroll rating is a measure of the overall financial condition of the institution and its ability to meet its credit obligations. The A rating recognizes Liberty Bank as an institution in sound financial condition that is well capitalized, liquid and profitable. The Kroll system ranks 6,876 U.S. Banks and less than 10% receive an A rating. Kroll has been providing independent ratings for over twenty-five years and is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a nationally recognized statistical rating organization.

Captain of the Riverbend Awarded to Liberty Bank
For its commitment to the community Liberty Bank was honored with its 3rd Captain of the Riverbend Award. The award was presented at the annual State of the Riverbend Luncheon held on October 22, 2009. The Riverbend Growth Association recognized the bank for its Community Involvement. The Captains of the Riverbend Awards are awarded annually and were created by the Growth Association to identify and honor the many ways in which local businesses have enhanced the Riverbend region.
Liberty Bank receives IBA's Customer Service Award
Liberty Bank was honored as an Illinois Bank Community Service Award Winner by the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA). The awards were presented on June 27, 2008 during the 117th Annual IBA Conference and Trade Show at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.
Liberty Bank President Dale Blachford was honored to accept the award for Liberty Bank and pledges to continue its community service efforts, "It is a great honor to receive such a prestigious award. To be recognized for something we think is a necessity for a Community Bank is truly rewarding. We are honored to serve our communities. I thank the members of our staff for their dedication and assure you will we continue with our goal to serve the communities we are in."
The Illinois Bank Community Service awards honor Illinois financial institutions that demonstrate a high level of service in their communities. There are 700 banks in Illinois and Liberty Bank was one of only four recipients of the annual Community Service Award in 2008.
